Privacy Policy — Urania Design Discovery

This Privacy Policy supports Urania Design Discovery, an internal, read-only reference and design research tool operated by Urania.

1. Operator

Urania operates Urania Design Discovery and the websites https://www.gourania.com/ and https://www.gourania3d.com/.

2. Purpose of the application

Urania Design Discovery helps the authorized account owner review design references saved to their Pinterest account.

The application may be used to:

  • list authorized public Boards;
  • read authorized public Pins;
  • review design references selected by the account owner;
  • identify the original source link associated with a reference; and
  • support internal design-reference review.

The application is read-only. It does not publish to Pinterest.

3. Pinterest permissions

The application requests only the minimum Pinterest permissions required for read-only use:

  • boards:read
  • pins:read

The application does not request Pinterest write permissions. It does not request access to secret or private Boards unless a separate permission and review is explicitly approved in the future.

4. Pinterest information accessed

When requested by the authorized account owner, the application may access task-relevant information made available through the Pinterest API, such as:

  • Board information;
  • Pin information;
  • Pin titles or descriptions where provided;
  • Pin URLs and source links; and
  • publicly available attribution information.

The application accesses only information required for the requested task.

5. Data storage

Pinterest information obtained through the Pinterest API is not retained as a permanent Pinterest-data archive.

Where Pinterest policy requires information to be retrieved on demand, the application calls the Pinterest API again when the information is needed. Urania does not create a bulk export or permanent copy of the account’s Pinterest Boards or Pins.

Internal Urania-created notes or design decisions are maintained separately from Pinterest account data.

6. Prohibited actions

Urania Design Discovery does not:

  • create, save, edit or delete Pins;
  • create or modify Boards;
  • comment;
  • follow or unfollow accounts;
  • send Pinterest messages;
  • publish Pinterest content;
  • scrape Pinterest outside permitted access methods;
  • collect Pinterest passwords or session cookies;
  • sell Pinterest data; or
  • provide Pinterest competitor benchmarking.

7. Use of references

Pinterest content and linked third-party designs remain reference material. Urania does not claim ownership of third-party designs or imply that Urania manufactured third-party projects.

Pinterest reference material is not used to train or fine-tune an AI or machine-learning model.

Any Urania content or manufacturing concept developed separately from the reference-review process remains subject to Urania’s own originality and intellectual-property review.

8. Authentication and security

Pinterest access uses Pinterest-authorized authentication.

OAuth access tokens, refresh tokens, app secrets and other credentials are kept out of public repositories, public website pages, published social content and design-reference documents.

Credentials are limited to the application functions for which access was authorized.

9. Data sharing

Pinterest API information is not sold and is not shared with unrelated third parties. The application is intended primarily for Urania’s authorized internal use.

10. Revocation and deletion

The authorized account owner may revoke Pinterest authorization.

The account owner may also contact Urania to request deletion of application-related account records under Urania’s control.

11. Policy updates

Urania may update this Privacy Policy when application functionality, Pinterest platform requirements or applicable legal requirements change. The effective date shown at the top of this page identifies the latest version.
